Looking for refuge after a busy, somewhat chaotic pre-holiday season, I latched onto this book I've been wanting to read titled "Real Happiness: The Power of Meditation" by Sharon Salzberg. Here is one of my favorite parts so far:
My wish for you this holiday season is that you have time to reflect and build resources. We need time to reflect on which wolf we are feeding most often. We need time to strengthen by taking stock especially identifying and taking in the good from the past year. All this is essential before beginning to consider change and creation in the next.
Two things I'm most proud of this year are becoming a certified meditation teacher and completing intensive training in neuro-meditation. To achieve these took time and focus while managing a rather busy, sometimes crazy, life. They changed me in some basic ways and I grew personally and professionally.
Right now, I'm not 100% sure how I'll incorporate these tools into my professional services. I know they will help people but I'm taking time to reflect on that. Actually, I'll meditate on it and keep you posted. :) All ideas are welcome.
Be well, be happy, travel safely, and enjoy life. Happy 2017.
